THE POINTS CODE!

The European and Worlds fantasy gymnastics leagues are coming soon and I thought I'd settle the rules and you can score points.

Basically, the opening day for draft submission will be March 21st or March 22nd, make sure you keep an eye out for that. The deadline is April 17th

Please note: from March 23rd to March 24th, I will be at the British Championships (yay, hyped) so you can send your draft but I will probably not instantly reply.

So, here is the code;

+20 points: Gymnast makes all-around final
+15 points: Gymnast places in top 6 (event final)

+35 points: Gymnast makes top 12 in all-around
+55 points: Gymnast makes top 3 in all-around
+95 points: Gymnast wins the all-around

Points (Other)
+50 points: Top of your pool after Qualifications
+75 points: Top of your pool after Finals
+20 points: 7.3+ SV
+45 points: Longines Prize for Elegance Winner (Worlds only)
+80 points: Your team makes 150.0+ points (Quals)

Deductions

EUROS TEAM DRAFT SUBMITTING DAY: MARCH 22nd

I have been on the UEG website for the 2013 European Gymnastics Championships.

The first day you can submit your draft team is Wednesday 22nd March
You need an 8 gymnast team and 2 substitute. Once you have submitted your draft, you wont be able to change it, just your subs.

The deadline day for team submissions is Wednesday 17th April, the day before the competition. If you don't submit your draft on time, not to worry, we can give you e-mail alerts so you be one of the first for the worlds competition.

The competition will kick off with the qualification rounds, a chance for your gymnasts to make the event/all-around finals. However, a new change to the rules; if you are bottom of your Pool after the qualification round, you will face elimination but two people will be eliminated. I'll send out a question to all the people in the bottom of their Pool via e-mail and you'll have to get that right but the slowest 2 to respond will be eliminated.

If your gymnast makes the all-around, that is an automatic +10 points to your overall total. If they place within the top 12, it's +15 points, for top 3, it's +25 points and if your gymnast is the winner, you'll recieve +40 points.

On Saturday and Sunday, it's the event finals. If your gymnast qualifies, they will already recieve +10 points. Top 3 is +20 points and the winner is +50 points

Points will also be awarded for 7.2+ Difficulty Start Values, 9.800+ in execution and much more like that but the ''handbook'' will be released soon.

Announcements haven't been made for the Worlds competition but make sure you put these dates into your diary.

If you would like e-mail alerts for more information, then please e-mail me here saying that you'd like it.

FANTASY GYMNASTICS LEAGUE 2013

I have decided to create a new gymnastics game based of the well loved fantasy sports league. The league will be based on the European Championships and World Championships.

When the nominative entries for the Europeans come out, you can enter your draft team and the same will happen for the World Championships.

Step One - Choosing Your Team

You get 8 gymnasts on your team and 2 alternates/subs. If an original entry gets injured, you may use a sub. You can also use a sub on a gymnast who isn't injured but you will lose 10  points from your overall score. The best teams are broad and balanced and include 1 or 2 specialists and reliable and consistent gymnasts. The maximum amount of gymnasts from each country is 2. Gymnasts wont be carried on until Worlds because they may not make the squad.

Step Two - Submitting Your Draft

In your entry, you'll need to include your team, Name, age, any other ways to contact you.

Step Three - Wait!

The final date for entry for Euros is Saturday 13th April at 22:59 GMT (18:59 EST) and for Worlds is Saturday 28th September at 21:59 GMT (17:59 EST.) If you haven't submitted for the Europeans in time, we can you an e-mail alert when submitting is open for Worlds so you get first pick.

The starting maximum of entries is 30 but if I get tons of entries and I need to go over that then I'll add more people.

Pools:

You will be split into Pools/Divisions which is just like Pac-12 or Big 10 in NCAA. Basically, I'm starting off with 3 Pools (Pool A, Pool B and Pool C but I can add more). You will be assigned to a pool at random, there isn't any skill value or start values that set people apart.

Your Pool is basically a friendly league but you play for position. You score points for rankings, scores and difficulty. At the end of the competition, if you have the highest total, you will be Pool Champion. If you're top of the pool, you'll be in the League Championships. If you're in the League Championships, you're going to automatically get a prize and if you're League Champion you will also receive a prize.

More Information;

If you're playing the Europeans league, we assume you'll be playing the Worlds league and you'll already be entered. However, if you don't want to play the Worlds league after the Euros, please contact us.

Results/Scores from the Euros League will not be carried over to the Worlds league because it would be an unfair advantage over people that didn't compete in the Euros league.

Once you've submitted your draft, you cannot change your gymnasts, you can only swap them but your gymnasts your swapping with doesn't have to be injured but you lose 10 points.

If you drop out during the league, there may be someone who takes your spot. Therefore, you're less likely to get in for the Worlds if people carry on playing.
